Have you seen the great fabrics from the design company Adornit? Adorable! And I was lucky enough to get to work with the fabulous fabrics and the great ladies over at Adornit on one of their newest project books, Nested Owl Charcoal Pattern Book. Want a sneak peek?
Two of these tea towels are made from one of the terrific prints and embellished with fusible fonts & applique. Adorable, right? What a bright, happy addition to your kitchen!
And while you're in the kitchen, check out that super sweet oven mitt! The owl's wings make the pocket for your hands. Don't you just love that blue cirlce print? And the dots? Who doesn't love dots? They are all great - and made it impossible for me to pick a favorite. So I say give me one of each!
Here's a full pic of the apron - too cute, right? The leaf makes a handy pocket. And check out the dimensional flower applique. The waistband wraps around and buttons on the side - definitely NOT your grandmother's apron! Fun!
But this has to be one of my favorite projects - the Leaf Wall Organizer! Each branch of the tree makes a pocket. And each leaf is another handy pocket. If that's not enough for you, the trunk has a series of small pockets as well! Can't you just see this in a child's room, holding toys? Heck, I'd love it hanging over my desk! What a fun, happy organizational tool to look at while I'm working (William Morris would be so proud!).
Want to see more? Head on over to Adornit's blog (www. adornit.com/blog) to see more highlights from this and other project books. And to get your own book, so you can see all the terrific projects!
But wait! The generous gals at Adornit have offered my readers their very own Nested Owls project book AND a stack of fabric! Ah!!!! How can you win? Leave me a comment telling me how you would use your winning stack. What do you have on your "wish list" of projects that this might be perfect for? I can't wait to see what creative ideas you come up with. And besides - who doesn't love a stack of yummy new fabrics? Good luck! I'll close out the comments and radomly choose a winner on Sunday, October 6th.
