I'm so excited to be able to share with you my latest signature collection with Island Batik, Morris Tiles. Much like the image above, it is full of warm colors the evoke sunsets, rocky shores, and tree lines. I think you're gonna love it!
See what I mean?! Warm cinnamons, cool greens, warm browns....yummy, right? Want to see more of each of the fabrics? You got it!
Now the TOUGH question.....which one is your favorite? I know - hard to pick. And while I'm not generally a muted, earth-tony kind of person, this was a wonderfully rich line to work with. Let me show you what I created!
This beauty is Arbor Jewels. It was so much fun to design! I became intrigued with the concept of the infinity triangle, and explored some different ways to present it. The first of that exploration is this quilt - Arbor Jewels. Yes, it's paper pieced, but a pretty easy project overall! Want to make your own version? Great! You can get the pattern here on my website!
Next up is Fizz. I love this quilty interpretation of the effervescent bubbles that you get with carbonation. Do you see it?? Yes, fun! And - added bonus - the pattern has a bonus project to use up the "left over" units you get with the Studio 180 friendly construction technique. Two quilts in one! Love it and want to make it? You can grab your copy here on my website.
This is Ins and Outs. I personally LOVE this project. Why? So many reasons! It uses one 2 1/2" strip set to make a table runner, two placemats and four mug rugs. It is quilt as you go. And it has that fun woven three-dimensional effect on all the pieces. How fun is that?! Of course you want to make it - you know you do! Grab your pattern here on my website.
As some of you may know, I'm a HUGE fan of MidCentury Modern design. Sparkler is my latest in projects with that esthetic. It is paper pieced, and is just NINE large blocks, so it offers maximum impact with less work. Want to add some sparkle to your life? Grab your pattern here on my website.
Last in the Morris Tiles project line up is Twice Twined. It combines my exploration of the infinity triangle with a favorite color technique - gradation! (Hey, did you catch my class during Quilt 2024? No? Well, through 1/31, you can still grab a VIP pass, which will give you access to all FIVE days of content, including my Gradations class! Grab your VIP pass here!) While I did mine in four colors, each in three different shades, you could do it in a single color way, or....how about scrappy? I know - I think it would be super fun! Want to stitch up your own Twice Twined? Grab your pattern here on my website.
