As a Benartex ambassador, I get to play with lots of GORGEOUS fabrics! This time, it was the glorious Paradise Park collection by Pat Sloan for Benartex. I mean, who doesn't love a good red, white and blue color scheme? And the prints - super charming! So what do you think I made with these fun and versatile prints?
Well, I think you'll be shocked (aka NOT SHOCKED) that I made not one, not two, but THREE different versions of a new mini quilt pattern, Quarry. The red, white and blue palette is so fun to work with. So I made a blue and white version, a red and white version, and a red, white and blue one (how could I not?).
Here's the red version - which, I get, is NOT all red and white. Some of the prints are red on blue - but it still gives the red vibe.
So then I combined the red paisley print with the blues. I love the bright pop of red in the middle.
But you know that at heart, I'm a blue girl. So I sandwiched the dark blue paisley print in between two different lighter blue prints. And yes, it's my favorite.
Which one is your favorite?
Eagle eyes will notice that Quarry is a mini version of Excavation! And you're right - it is! Excavation is one of my favorite little crib or lap quilts (46" x 60"). But you may also remember that I'm on a mini kick right now, releasing a lot of new mini quilt patterns. And Quarry is the latest in this. This sweet little project finishes at 16" x 24 1/2".
Want to make your own version of Quarry? You can preorder your copy here, so you'll be the first to get it once it is through the testing phase! And you'll get $2.00 off (through May 25th).
